Anode
The anode is the positive terminal of an x-ray tube, usually consisting of a tungsten block embedded in a copper stem. Electrons flow from the cathode toward the anode and the anode emits x-rays from the focal spot.
Bone Marrow Scintigraphy
A bone marrow scintigraphy is a nuclear medical imaging procedure of the bone marrow with 99Tc-HSA-micro or nano-colloids for the early diagnostics of pathological marrow processes. The principle of this examination is the uptake of Tc-99m labeled albumin (HSA) or sulfur colloid by the reticuloendothelial cells of bone marrow. A bone marrow scan also reflects the regional blood flow. The imaging can be started 60-90 min after the injection of around 8 mCi technetium labeled colloid.
Cathode
A cathode is an electrode through which electric current flows out of a polarized electrical device. X-rays are produced by bombarding a target (the cathode), which is usually made of tungsten.
Cerebral Blood Pool Imaging
The cerebral blood pool can be imaged with single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) and positron emission computer tomography (PET) techniques. The used radiopharmaceuticals are technetium-99m labeled red blood cells (RCBs) for SPECT and O-15 labeled water for PET imaging. Measured can be cerebral blood volume, brain perfusion and cerebral metabolism.

Conductor
Material that allows heat or electric current to flow.
